School parent group volunteer management

Volunteer rosters for school parent groups

Canteen Monday to Friday, uniform shop two mornings a week, a fete once a year and a working bee every term — all filled by the same parents, chased in the same class group chat. VolunTeam puts every one of those jobs on one page parents can sign up on themselves.

  • Term-long canteen and uniform shop rosters
  • Fete stalls filled by parents, not by phone calls
  • Reminders the night before every shift
  • Hours logged per family across the year

Roster the whole term in one go

Post every canteen shift for the term at once, share the link in the newsletter, and let parents claim the days that suit them. You can see at a glance which days are still short and message only the people who haven't put their hand up yet.

  • Shifts grouped by date so a whole week is easy to scan
  • Slot labels such as 'Recess' and 'Lunch'
  • Fill status per shift so gaps are obvious

Fete day without the clipboard

Break the fete into stalls and two-hour blocks, and let families pick their slot. Everyone rostered gets a reminder and an add-to-calendar file, and if someone can't make it they request a swap instead of quietly not turning up.

  • Two-hour blocks per stall
  • Swap requests you approve
  • Bulk email or SMS to everyone rostered on the day

Recognise the families who show up

Hours roll up per parent and per period, so you can thank the right people at the end of the year, print certificates, and show your committee where the load is really falling.

Common questions

Can parents sign up without making an account?

Yes. A parent picks a shift on your public page and enters their name, email and mobile. A login is optional and only helps if they want to manage their shifts later.

Can we roster by class or year level?

Yes. Set up a team or group for each class or year level, then message or roster just that group when you need help.

What does VolunTeam cost?

14-day free trial — no credit card required. Then $59/month or $500/year. Prices exclude GST. One organisation, unlimited volunteers, unlimited roles.
